Still rusty

Wasn't happy with leaving yesterday's post there and decided to work on it, had trouble getting the right saturations and cool/warm relationships but I ironed them out as much as I could.

Well, this wasn't an hour of pure painting if I'm being honest. Mostly because I spent some time on the drawing itself, which I forgot was not the point of this exercise. I did some painting though, so I'll post it, but man this was rough work.

Alright, I gotta set some minimums. I don't even want to call them goals because they are what should be at least required to improve. Probably going to paint for an hour a day every day, just raw painting. No looking at art books, no finding examples, no gawking at better artists' work, just pure pen to screen. I've realized that what I need to get better at is painting, and not drawing, as the past 50 or so blog posts have been nothing but drawings. And boring ones at that.

Also, we're not gonna call that hair, let's call it a fancy umbrella.

So I might have been playing league again

 

For all you league nerds like me, I've been grind again before the next split. I've been watching pro-play and high elo matches and thought I could climb again and I've climbed higher than I ever have before. Im Diamond 1 ~50lp right now and been winning all day. Hopefully I can reach masters by monday when the split ends. I have also been drawing between loading screens.

silent improvement

 

Well, I've been radio silent for the past while, contrary to what I led on to in my previous posts. At least, blog wise that is. Drawing wise I've been doing whatever comes to mind and it's been relaxing. Making a lot of improvements aesthetic wise, going to keep at it until god knows where my interests take me.

Power went out

 My power went out last night around like 9:00pm, I had something ready to post last night but it was out for like 4~5 hours so I couldn't get it in, what a shame. Drawing heads lately because I've been doing a lot of figure work and don't want to loosen up on them.
