Getting back into it

 

Just some grayscale painting to get the rust off, in preparation for the digital classes I'll be doing.

A bit creepy

 

Hmm, I don't know what to say about this one since I don't know why I did it. Maybe I should actually draw a gun from reference instead of doing lego guns for once. Just a quick thumbnail for the blog I guess, and yeah I think it's bad too.

Probably falling apart

 

Don't know whats happening with me lately. Woke up with the same sore throat, bloodshot eyes, bumps on the edges of my tongue, and just plain tired. Some websites said bumps around the edges mean dehydration, but I thought I drank a decent amount of water on my flight here, guess not. Oh well, tomorrow is Monday, and it will be time to resume the regularly scheduled programming excuse-free.

got off the plane, got home, got to get good

Just a sketch I did when I got home after the flight, 12 hours passed by fast. I am now completely exhausted and have to unpack. I will pick up the pace again Monday by doing my assignments, until then I'm unpacking and recovering.

Also I forgot to show this

A sort of a project I'm working on, doing viscom exercises everyday since July 24th, takes roughly 20 minutes each. I plan on doing it for a couple months and see if I learn anything that sticks with me mentally rather than muscle memory. I'll get back to you guys on what I mean when I finish, kinda hard to explain.

Will be flying tomorrow back home so we will see how the next post goes.

Also for the sketch idk guys I just put the pen on the paper and do a few lines and this is it.

NEW STUDY PLAN YAYY

So, I am ditching the current study plan.

While my stay here in Turkey I realised that I don't have that much time left. I wanted to be ready to make a portfolio by the end of the year but here I am going overkill on perspective when I don't have any time to be doing so. I think I learned much more than the average 8-week perspective course taught in art schools (from what I can tell in the perspective class unit descriptions) so I think it's time for me to move on.

That being said, I am going to be taking 10, 8 week courses over the next 4 months while making personal work on the side. The emphasis being on design and painting while still continuing viscom of course.

Also, just a heads up... The next two days will likely be low effort posts as I am preparing to leave for the States on the 4th. Gonna spend alot of time with family and packing.
