blob shading

 

Back to the viscom homework, the blobs look cool now with shading. I used greyscale copic markers for the shadows and used some pencil smudging and pen hatching for the gradations. The highlights were done with a sakura jelly roll pen (1.0mm). This was more fun than just doing the blob drawings with the felt tip pens and it I was on autopilot at the same time. Although, I don't know if that means I'm doing it right or not, probably should put some more thought into them. It's pretty meditating though.
