The true power of waking up at 8AM.
Anyways, I didn't really plan to make this at all today, it kinda just came out of left field. When I first started this I wanted to put my perspective skills to use, and I must say, I really regret not fully learning perspective in the past, it adds a lot of realism to your art. For instance the drawing alone even with no background passively makes me feel like there is an eye level that the camera is sitting at. You can't tell what I'm talking about because it's cropped out, but her figure is actually all drawn out, just not rendered (some specular highlights at most).
I added a bow and shirt collar for some reason, guess I wanted to imply she was clothed. Also just thought it looked nice, we'll call it artistic license. Don't know how that choker got into the painting though, I don't even remember doing that.
I can say for sure that the dynamic sketching course boosted my painting skills, I could see how I could apply the lessons to painting as I was doing them. Coupling that with the perspective course was definitely the right move.
Also, her skin isn't darker below the head, I just didn't add any lighting to her skin so it just looks darker.
